This is a illustration made in Photoshop for a friend’s literary journal at imitationfruit.com. Check out her latest issue of stories, poems, and artwork!! I made this illustration to accompany a story about a woman and her mishap with a beautician. I thought of using muted colors with an emphasis on the color red. At the time, I was thinking of the artwork of Frank Miller and the artwork for Guild Wars. They were my inspiration. I played with textures to give a sense of an old picture. I really enjoyed working on this. ^__^
